U11's

Welcome to the Crowborough Under 11's home page (school year 6). We
(Joe, Mark, John and Martin) welcome all and any players to our group
where we make no offers or guarantees for parents who are looking to
enjoy warm sunny days watching their children play sport but what we can
offer you is an enthusiastic and qualified coaching team who will
educate your child into the world of rugby, which having spent a fair
amount of time there myself as both a player, spectator and now coach I
can only recommend to you.
At this age group the team comprises 12 players on the pitch and it is
contact rugby with 5 man scrums and a full complement of backs, with
kicking permitted for the first time. Whatever ability or experience
your child has we will coach them in a friendly and enthusiastic
environment for them to achieve to the best of their ability. Rugby
requires both discipline and respect themes we fully espouse in our
sessions to teach the children to play using their minds as well as body
with as much time as possible spent with the ball in hand. One of our
main aims is to motivate the children to continue playing rugby into
adulthood.
We train Sunday mornings at the club from 10am to 12pm. The first
session starts Sunday 5th September. Throughout the year we have a
mixture of coaching sessions, friendly matches and festivals to both
learn and compete in.
