Crowborough Rugby Club is looking for a bar steward to take over the general running of the clubhouse. The club has a thriving membership from mini to senior level and the ability to communicate and coordinate with all levels is essential.
Reporting to the Executive Committee, the successful candidate's duties will include (but not be limited to), general bar management - liaising with suppliers and customers, serving, line cleaning and staff management, the handling of function bookings, developing the club as a function venue, supervising the delivery of formal league lunches and post match meals, supervising the provision of general catering, engaging with club members, guests and visitors (including clients who hire the venue).
There will be an emphasis on the development of the clubhouse as a function venue.
This is a full time, "hands on" position heavily weighted towards weekend work.
Previous experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
