Crowborough Rugby Football Club

Important Message to All Members & Visitors

Construction of the New Clubhouse is underway and there will be considerable disruption in the Car Park until the work is completed and severe reduction in the number of parking spaces.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL MEMBERS AND VISITORS TO TAKE EXTRA CARE WHILST ON THE PREMISES NOT ONLY FOR THEMSELVES BUT FOR OTHERS, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.

During this period of disruption the Executive Committee would ask that everybody entering the premises acts as follows:

·        Observes a 5mph driving speed limit at all times whilst on the premises

·        Follows the direction of any marshal controlling parking

·        Uses any dedicated footway set up to protect pedestrians

·        Avoids bringing a car onto the site, by using car sharing or even the local buses Parking will be a major problem until the new clubhouse is built and the old demolished and, if it is absolutely necessary to bring a car onto the site, please observe the follow:

·       4 x 4’s to park on the overflow field unless it is absolutely waterlogged

·       standard drive cars will be asked to park by the poplar trees

·       Other spaces will be used on a first come first served basis

·       The last resort is to park tidily on the main road REMEMBER THAT AMBULANCE ACCESS TO ALL PITCHES MUST BE MAINTAINED.

The new clubhouse will be the realization of all our hopes over many years. It will not be long now before those hopes are fulfilled and we will have a building to be proud of.We would ask all members to take on board that this disruption is unavoidable and to do whatever they can to make sure the club functions in a safe and pleasant way.

Do please, if you have to drive onto the site, think of others and particularly that we all have a duty of care to keep children out of harms way.

No club member or member of the public has any right to enter the fenced off building site without the permission of the contractor. It is imperative that children are supervised at all times by a responsible adult, and, at no time are they permitted to enter the building site.

If you think you can help to manage the car parking on Saturdays or Sundays please contact Eddie Bridges or Simon Davies or one of the coaches.
