On Sunday 17th April Crowborough RFC attended the Uckfield Festival ad two of their squads had great results on the day.
The Under 10’s beat Lewes 8 tries to Nil, then went on to beat Burgess Hill 6 tries to Nil. They then needed to win the next match to win the pool for a place in the final. This was against Horsham, where Crowborough kept a clean sheet beating them 7 tries to Nil. In the final they were up against Edenbridge even though Crowborough were dominant for most of the match Edenbridge ran in 2 tries and so the under 10’s were the runners up on the day.

Crowborough’s Under 9 `A` squad have had a great season and not lost a single game along with retaining both the East Sussex County and Sussex County Championship titles.
Stephen Hart, Under 9 Head Coach, said “we took all our players to this festival to give the development squad some well deserved tournament practice”. The development team played some great rugby and found success against Tonbridge Juddians in a very physical game. They showed great promise for next season. The `A` squad got off to a slow start against East Grinstead but won by 3 tries to 1. They then went on to beat Edenbridge 4 -1, Eastbourne 2 – 0 and Uckfield early in the second half 7 – 0. This gave them a place in the final against Horsham who they beat 5 – 0.
Stephen said, “this is the best way to end a great season, in the last 4 tournament this team have scored 62 tries and only conceded 3”.
