Weekend 16th/17th. January - Update

All Rugby Cancelled for Sat/Sun 16th. & 17th. January

 An inspection of the ground this morning was held and all the pitches and the Car park are still covered in thick snow and therefore unplayable. Regretably we have postponed the 1st team & 2nd. teams matches.

Whilst the weather forecast is for tempratures above freezing today, they aren't yet so little thawing is taking place. The concern is that when the snow melts it will waterlog the pitches which are already soggy under the snow, and heavy rain is forecast tomorrow. It's also possible that the drainage under the pitches is still frozen so not working properly. With this in mind we cannot play any matches at home on Sunday either

The other concern is that the car park which is still under a good 8-10 inches of snow.

We will monitor the situation for the coming week as (hopefully) the thaw continues
