Crowborough RFC 1st XV spent last season rebuilding the player base and coaching structure to support future progression up the leagues.
Lead coach Richard Siggs (who also heads the Harlequins Sussex Developing Player Programme) has aspirations to end the 2015/16 season with promotion into London South 1 and continues to work on increasing the strength in depth of the squad with the aim of having at least 35 players capable of playing at 1st XV level. Siggsy is assisted at squad training sessions by Coachs Dan Moore & Matt Tyler.
CRFC continue to encourage and develop their young players into the 1st XV with three 17 year olds now regular starters in the 1st XV. One of whom was reintroduced to Harlequins Academy having impressed Richard Siggs with his playing ability. The development of the U16s and 18s this season will hopefully produce more players for the top team in the club over the course of seasons to come.
Training is every Tuesday and Thursday at Steel Cross starting at 7.30pm. Please come along, you will be made most welcome.
