Unfortunately our ever faithfully roving report, Rick Howe couldn't make Deal on Saturday.
So instead - I will give you some Lowlight's and Highlights of the afternoon.

A minute silence was well observed before kick-off for Jo White a Deal and Betteshanger, Parent & Supporter and for my Mother-in-law Sheila Ladd.

More opportunities for Boro with a knock-on only a few metres from the Deal try line.
They were then awarded a penalty over by the 22 metre line, Connor stepping up to give it ago. The kick just didn't have the leg's and fell short.
Deal No 7 - 10 minutes in the bin for a dangerous tackle.

Borough having a good positive chat at the break, with Dan Moore asking his players for more of the same following a solid first half performance.
The second half continued with much of the same - Boro Pack Power, with more pick and drive rugby.
All well controlled, taking the game to the Deal pack.

Sub - Matty Eyres , Had a great afternoon, back in a Borough shirt, replaced by Ollie Jude-Trailor on the hour mark.

10 minutes later we had a chance to take the lead with another infringement. Connor took this one wide of the upright.

Another head collision with more bloody for Rosie this time.Interchange with Jim Smith.

More work for the Boro pack still creating problems for the Deal forwards and another penalty awarded to Boro 20 metres out from the post's. This time Connor slot's the ball between the uprights.
Boro Lead 10 -11, with 17 minutes to play.

Boro continued to pressurise the Deal defence and another penalty was awarded, unfortunately Connor hit the posts.
Great work from Callum Main, some great lines all afternoon.

The last 10 minutes was mainly in the Boro half, some great defensive work by the forwards, who unfortunately gave away a penalty which everyone expected them to kick for goal, instead they knocked on from a quick-tap penalty which could have cost us the game.

Man of the Match - Callum Main - was excellent today.
But everyone played their part in this victory, away from home and at Deal, its always been a difficult place to go.
I for one, can never remember us beating them up-front, and being the dominant force all afternoon.
