The sun was shining again for our second training session of the season. I think it caught us out as everyone was peeling off layers. With another allocation on the "grandstand" pitch (woo, that's so cool!) we had the best surface in the whole club AND it meant that coffee sales surged with the balcony full of onlooking parents. We had such a great turn out, with lots of rugby rascals graduates, that we need to order some more bib colours before next week!
Our (in)famous Rugby assault course was back. The ground wasn't interested in letting us setup our "dog agility weaving poles" - so there ended up being a lot of hurdling.. We use this method throughout the season as a great way to sneak in some 1:1 skill focus as well as the fact that the kids love it. Some of the passes being "pinged" were amazing. "Pocket to rocket!"
Thanks again to those parents who crossed the touchline to join in. It's likely that with such strong numbers we'll need to be running 4 active pitches, to keep all the u6s busy, so every pair of helping hands makes a difference.
See you all next week!
