On Friday night Graham Callard attended the Sussex Referees Society dinner where he collected on behalf of CRFC the very prestigious Sporting Spirit trophy. This is an award voted for by the referees on a match by match basis who score clubs on the welcome, pre-match, the grounds, the match, and post match attitude. It covers all games from juniors to seniors where a county referee is appointed. To come out top is a great honour. This is a massive pat on the back for people like Ian Geering, John Wilmshurst, the coaches, players, spectators and of course people like Jacqui and Nick who are also an important interface with the referees.‬

Again this goes some way to demonstrate what a friendly welcoming place Crowborough rugby club is for everyone.
