Great game to start the season

The match was tight to start with until Crowborough got a try off a scrum after Sammy passed to Stuart who ran down the touch line to score in the corner. Henry’s conversion attempt was close but it bounced off the post to leave the score at 5-0.
On the attack, Crowborough kicked and chased which put enough pressure on the Pulborough winger to fumble the ball. The ball was kicked on and Crowborough gained possession in Pulborough’s 22. Crowborough then passed left to Stewart but he was then tackled in to touch bringing an exciting few phases of play to a close.
Again on the attack, Crowborough had a scrum around the half way line. Sammy broke right and put Robert in space. After reaching Pulborough’s 22, Robert was tackled into touch.
With half time closing in, Crowborough had the ball in Pulborough’s 22 and were driving forwards. They then passed left down the attacking line to put Stuart in for his second try. Henry converted to make the score 12-0.
Crowborough then had another opportunity. They had the ball in their own 22 when Dan almost broke through. He then passed left where they broke into space reaching the halfway line before being tackled. Due to an injury stoppage the referee then whistled for half time.
Pulborough started quickly in the second half as they were in Crowborough’s 22 after a couple of penalties. They took a quick tap penalty and sent one their forwards crashing over. The conversion missed so the score was 12-5.
The next exciting moment of the match saw Pulborough make a break from their 22 to the halfway line before their winger was tackled into touch.
A few minutes later Pulborough had the ball around the halfway line and they had room to run out wide but pressure from Oscar and Conor made Pulborough fumble the ball. The ball then landed into Stuart’s arms to give him his hat-trick as he ran under the posts to score. Henry converted to make the score 19-5.
Crowborough had the ball again around the halfway line. They passed left to Henry who stepped two defenders and ran in to score under the posts. He converted his own try making the score 26-5.
Crowborough were on the attack again with a scrum in Pulborough’s 22. They passed down the line for Arminius to run into space and score near the posts. Henry converted, leaving the score at 33-5.
With the last play of the game, Pulborough had a penalty in the centre of Crowborough’s 22. Like their first try, they took a quick tap penalty and they then crashed over under the posts. The conversion was only just successful as the ball had clipped one of the Crowborough players hands but the ball still went over to make the final score 33-12 to Crowborough.
