As in previous years Crowborough Rugby Club participated in the town’s annual summer festival; ‘Crowfest’. The opening event in the main arena was a display of walking rugby by many of the club’s walking rugby regulars. Walking rugby is a game for all regardless of age, sex or ability. As was proven under a hot summer sun at the town’s leisure centre it is great fun, good for your health, both physically and mentally. Every Thursday evening from 6pm until 7pm. Go on, give it a try.
Next up was a display by some of our mini section. An example of the fun that can be had through mini games and the regular Sunday training sessions. Our cadre of well trained coaches are keen to recruit more young people to the club and the great game of rugby. The benefits of being part of a great game, at a great club can’t be overestimated. The first Sunday in September is when it all kicks off.
Praise must go to Kate, Jim, Greg, Mike and James et al for making this happen. Crowborough RFC were delighted to be part of what was an extremely well presented town festival.
Well done all.
