Past and present members of CRFC’s Friday Club and the Walking Rugby section combined to play a major part in the Crowborough Hospital Fete on Bank Holiday Monday. The fete is one of the top events in the Crowborough calendar, when the whole community comes together to support and raise much needed funds for our wonderful local hospital and Day Centre. The volunteers from CRFC were on site early to set up the fete, erecting 20 gazebos for the various stalls as well as distributing countless tables and chairs and to take it all down again at the close of the fete. Anthony Shaw (pictured) who is the lead organiser of the fete, expressed his thanks for the contribution of CRFC members. “Without the help from the rugby club in the set up and breakdown of the fete, the event would not run as smoothly as it does”.
