Thursday evenings at 18:00 and it’s time for Walking Rugby at Steel Cross. Thanks to a recent recruitment drive, and the success at the Town Summer Fair numbers have increased. As numbers have increased so has the fun. Players with plenty of experience walk alongside players who have never played any form of rugby before. Does it matter? No. Of course not. Walking rugby is about inclusive participation and having fun, and of course enjoying the benefits that ensue from the exercise, which is as strenuous as you want to make it. Male or female, all are welcome.
It’s every Thursday while the weather holds, and don’t forget the bar is open afterwards where exploits are shared, not forgetting Jacqui’s curry is now back for the season.
See the Walking Rugby section under ‘Teams’ if you want to know more.
