Tommy played as a mini, youth and senior player at the ‘Boro before moving on to Tonbridge Juddians RFC, where he made more than 200 appearances and captained the side in National 1 last season. We’re thrilled to welcome him back to the club where it all started.

Tom Nicoll said: “Really looking forward to joining Jody, Joel, Daws and Thresh in the coaching set-up at Crowborough this season. After spending some enjoyable years away at TJ’s, I always knew that I’d return to the club that I started at as a young boy. It’s great to be back amongst the lads — some old faces and plenty of new faces. I’m excited about the blend of experience and young talent in the squad. It all bodes well for a successful season ahead for the club.”

Tom joins a fantastic coaching team led by Jody Levett (ex-Worthing RFC), alongside Joel Forward (ex-Brighton and current Sussex Seniors backs coach), Stuart Dawson (ex-London Scottish RFC) and Stuart Thresher (ex-Harlequins, England A and Barbarians).

Lead Coach Jody Levett said: “Tom is another great addition to the team, and I am really pleased to be working alongside him. He brings a wealth of National League experience to the squad, and the lads are already responding to the energy he brings.”

Director of Rugby Paul Gray added: “It’s great to finally have Tom back at the ‘Boro. He’s an outstanding player, competitor and leader and will be an awesome addition to our set-up, both on and off the field.”
