On a Sunny Saturday afternoon the Crows headed down to Hastings looking for a win in 1066 country. The boys started well with Mike "Twinkle toes" Davies running half the field to get some points on the board. Hastings came back strong however but luckily the steam roller also know as Phil Vos was on hand to bring down a man 3 times his size. We went back to work and with some cutting moves the ball came to Nigel who ran on his own (with the whole Hastings team chasing him) to place the ball under the sticks which Will Rockall converted. Hastings and Bexhill did not give up though stealing back 2 tries and a conversion to level things up! Despite injury and being a man who is getting on a bit, Mark Wilson made a return which we were all happy to see. Unfortunately after a few minutes into the second half one the opposition sustained a nasty neck injury which ended the game. It was a great well balanced match and the boys will definitely be fancying their chances in a home game later on in the season. There was a post match curry which the cook told me she hadn't put any love or effort into, bearing this is mind I decided to give it a miss. The Crows are away to Crawley this Friday night for some more liquid rugby.
