The borough u14's were playing in a pool against Lewes, Brighton, Edenbridge, Crawley and Bognor.

We had good squad numbers of 21, despite Covid take a few at the last minute, but there were still some very nervous coaches as it's been a very long time since any proper competitive rugby has taken place.

We shouldn't have worried, the lads were amazing with 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 narrow loss by 1 try. All the games were really competitive and every single player had moments of wonderful rugby. Nice to know all the hard work training, from the coaches as well as the players, does actually pay off.

It was a great way to kick off what we all hope will be a great season and have really got some fantastic team spirit re-growing.

Now looking forward to our first ever waterfall match next weekend at CRFC.
