At Crowborough RFC, we are proud of our great tradition as a community club. Our values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship (TREDS) make our environment special. To protect this culture, we’d like to remind all spectators:
- Stay Off the Pitch: Entering the field of play, no matter what the intention, is strictly forbidden without the referee’s permission.
- Serious Consequences: Under RFU Rule 5.12, punishments for entering the field or confronting officials are severe. They include long bans for individuals, 1st XV points deductions, and financial penalties for the club.
- Respect the Officials: Match Official Abuse (MOA) is a national issue discouraging people from officiating. In alignment with Sussex RFU, we have zero tolerance for MOA.
- The 30-Minute Rule: Per RFU Regulation 12.5, no person shall approach the Match Officials at half-time or for 30 minutes after the match to discuss any issue. The Referee’s changing room is also strictly off-limits.
Let's keep the game enjoyable for everyone. Our full Codes of Conduct are available here: Crowborough RFC Documents
